How to set up the Wireless Router or AP as a Bridge.

When you have a 2 network and you want to join them together, but using wires is almost impossible or not an option, then you can use the bridge mode. With this mode you can join two different networks and can share files, printers, etc.

To do this you first need to make sure the new router you are getting has that mode. The Advantek network Routers AWR-754GR and AWR-954GR support this mode. All Access Points support this mode (AWN-AP-54MR).

- First you have to enable the WDS setting.
- Then on the Wireless tab select the mode bridge.
- Now put the same SSID, channel and WEP as the main router. Make sure is exactly the same, if something is not the same it won't work.

After doing this the router will work as a bridge and you will be able to connect two different networks together and saher failes and printers.
