How to set up the Wireless Router or AP as a Repeater.

When you need to boost your signal so you can access the network or the internet from a computer that is far from the router, you might use another router as a repeater. With this mode you cann boost the signal of the main router so it can reach those places that usually have low or no signal.

To do this you first need to make sure the new router you are getting has that mode. The Advantek network Routers AWR-754GR and AWR-954GR support this mode. All Access Points support this mode (AWN-AP-54MR).

- First you have to enable the WDS setting.
- Then on the Wireless tab select the mode repeater.
- Now put the same SSID, channel and WEP as the main router. Make sure is exactly the same, if something is not the same it won't work.

After doing this the router will work as a repeater and you will be able to connect from computers that are far from the main router and access the internet.
